Silence is GoldenMost of you should know what this event is.
If not; it is a national youth movement protesting the silence faced by lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people and their allies.
Our deliberate silence echoes that silence, which is caused by harassment, prejudice, and discrimination. Ending the silence is the first step toward fighting these injustices.
So, just think about the voices you are not hearing today. And think about the people around you who are being teased and ridiculed because of who they are, who they love, and what they do.
